didn’t get as much done this week since I spent the whole weekend working on my entry for minijam 119: War is Heaven. still happy with my progress overall.

  • turtles can now set aside their ladle-swords in favor of a life of service
  • abilities are now represented with visual icons of dubious quality… I will fix them, I promise
  • full-team buffs and attack-altering abilities like Archery Training will no longer be offered when the player’s team has only one turtle
  • added a little atmosphere to the title screen
  • some minor balance tweaks

Ayy got my first win on this build! I didn't manage to win with a healer, but I did do the solo unit strat. There was one attempt where I did have a healer, but the boss beat me with 1hp left.

nice, congrats! the amount of actual stats tuning I did this time around was honestly really minimal - teeny changes to player units’ stats ranges and one boss. balance is such a delicate thing!

It is delicate! I think the main reason for the difficulty drop was your change which made the solo unit style easier. With the multi-unit buffs out of the pool it felt a lot easier to get nice things.
