v0.7 (2022-11-29) — moar paint!! (+ new ability)


another presentation-intensive week, though I did add a new ability that opens up an interesting new strategy that I won’t spoil. I’ve got some fun plans for gameplay changes for the next release. turtle rotation is such a powerful home team advantage, perhaps the invaders might decide to make use of this…?

  • new ability: evasive

  • background is, in my humble opinion, prettier (though also much more amateurish because, well, I’m an amateur)

  • healers have a new sprite and animation

  • fanfare upon moving between prep and combat phases

  • took another stab at ability icons

The update is really cool, liking the new icons and healer sprite. I think evasive makes the solo strat even stronger! I still haven't figured out how to make teams work, but I've been trying.

Early on I lost a run to the restart button! With the moon behind the fight button, my brain instinctively thought to press the restart button as it stands out more
