GGv0.26 ~ new job: mercenary!!
couple of goodies this time around:
new ability: MOVABLE
this is a wild one: varmints with MOVABLE can be repositioned within their posse during the preparation (card) phase of battle. just drag n’ drop ’em among their teammates, the same as you would during the team select phase. this gives you another way to turn the battle in your favor:
- move a MOVABLE varmint in the order to avoid a blow that would put them out of commission
- move a varmint into harm’s way to save someone else
- move a varmint to land the perfect attack at the right time, or to give your attacking specialist another round of attacks
there are tons of good uses of the Movable ability… but they all require usin’ yer noggin, pardner.
new job: Mercenary
Mercenaries are versatile, movable units with cards that enjoy breaking the rules of the game… fer a price, pardner. don’t want to give away too much, but if you want to try one for yourself, you can get to it through the Soldier upgrade tree.
Mercenary is the 21st player job in the game (22nd if we count Rookie), and marks what will probably be the last job in the demo version of the game. at this point, all seven starter jobs now have 2 “second evolution” jobs to choose from.
UX changes
did a little reorganization of the top-line stats:
this layout puts the enemy-related stats (how many platoons are left, how close are they to The Gulch, etc.) on the right, and the player-related stats (how many Bloom Ribbons you have, how many days have you survived, etc.) on the left. this positions the relevant information above each team, and should help with legibility.
